  1. Drain and rinse fava beans

  2. In a large pot, cover fava beans with water and bring to a boil. 

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until fava beans are tender. 

  4. Drain fava beans and set aside.

  5. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. 

  6. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened. 

  7. Stir in cumin, paprika, coriander, and cayenne pepper. 

  8. Cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant. 

  9. Add cooked fava beans and stir to combine. 

  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 

  11. Serve hot with pita bread or vegetables.
